  Introduction  
 

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is conceived as a mechanism to build and ensure a quality culture at the university level. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a vital part of the institution’s quality assurance system and work towards ensuring quality enhancement and sustenance. Maintaining the momentum of quality consciousness with enough flexibility to meet the diverse needs of the stakeholders is crucial in a university. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the university. The IQAC becomes a driving force for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality.

To promote quality culture aimed at all round excellence as the prime concern through institutionalizing and internalizing all the quality enhancing and sustaining initiatives taken with internal and external support.

  • A. To inculcate moral, ethical and social values among faculty, administrative staffs and students.
  • B. To uphold the vision and mission of the university by pursuing quality and developing a system.
  • C. To pursue global standards of excellence in all our endeavours encompassing teaching, research, consultancy and continuing education.
  • D. To remain focused to hold ourselves accountable to our stakeholders and adhering to globally accepted standards.
  • E. To enhance the competency of the faculty to higher level and to continually promote the modern methods of teaching learning evaluation in various programmes offered.
  • F. To maintain suitable documentation to support the quality processes and procedures adopted.
  • G. To develop systematic quality processes evolving, enhancing and sustaining excellence in its academic and administrative practices and to set benchmarks for their periodic evaluation.
  • H. To be the driving force for ushering in quality to remove deficiencies and enhance quality.
  • I. To establish student learning centric environment and to inculcate value based education system.
  • J. To ensure the adequacy, timely maintenance and smooth functioning of the support structure.
  • K. To build association with stakeholders and stimulate Social Responsibility.
 
  Goals  
  • Introduction of Knowledge Levels in Question Setting with mapping of Cos.
  • Introduction of a mentoring system for the students from the academic session 2023–24.
  • Proper monitoring of the attendance of the students through the ERP portal.
  • Promoting innovations through various student club activities.
  • Enhancement of at least 10% of research publications in referred journals in comparison to the previous year.
  • At least four UG programmes must be NBA accredited.
  • The university should be NAAC accredited with an "A" grade in the academic session 2023-24.
  • The university should be placed within the top 200 in the NIRF ranking system.
 
  Strategies  

    IQAC shall evolve a mechanism and procedures for

  • A. Developing a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance.
  • B. Ensuring enhancement and integration among the various activities of the university and institutionalize best practices.
  • C. Ensuring the education offered to be effective and efficient with high standard.
  • D. Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
  • E. Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial units.
  • F. Adoption of relevant and quality academic and research programmes.
  • G. Ensuring equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of the society.
  • H. Ensuring credible assessment and evaluation processes.
  • I. Ensuring proper allocation, adequacy and maintenance of support structure and services.
  • J. Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.
 
  Functions  
  • A. Development and application of quality benchmarks / parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the university.
  • B. Facilitating creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty development to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
  • C. Collection and analysis of feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes.
  • D. Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters to all the stakeholders.
  • E. Organization of inter and intra university workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  • F. Documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.
  • G. Acting as a nodal agency of the University for Coordinating Quality related activities, including adoption and dissemination of good practices.
  • H. Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining / enhancing the institutional quality.
  • I. Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audits along with their follow-up activities.
  • J. Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) based on the quality parameters / assessment criteria developed by the relevant quality assurance body (like NAAC, NBA) in the prescribed format.
  • K. Bi-annual development of Quality Radars (QRs) and Ranking of Integral Units of HEIs based on the AQAR.
