  Admission

 
B. Tech., B. Arch., M.Tech. M.Arch., MCA, M. Sc. and Integrated M.Sc. admission to different UG, PG and Ph.D. programmes are made through various Entrance Examinations conducted at State , National and Institutional level each year. The details of the eligibility, reservation, medical requirements, procedure for admission etc. are given in the information brochure for “OJEE”-2014.
Attendance
A student shall be eligible to appear in an examination provided he/she attends minimum 75% of theory, practical and sessional classes scheduled during the Semester. The attendance shall be considered from the date of class conductance of the candidate in the college. The students are required to sign in the attendance register against their name in each class they attend. Below 75% attendance sheet will be published in every Semester in the college website in a regular basis.

Examination

 

Class test
 

There will be two periodical class tests of 15 marks each for all theory subjects on the dates specified by the University / College. A candidate shall clear a theory paper if he/ she scores minimum 12 marks out of total 30 in two class tests in theory subjects and minimum 25 marks out of 70 in the End Semester Examination to be conducted by the University. In practical / sessional / seminar / laboratory / comprehensive viva-voce examinations, the pass mark is 50 where full mark is 100 and 25 in a 50 full mark system.

 

Practical test

Each practical paper has 100 percentage point. In each practical class, there will be a test of 10 percentage point. A candidate shall clear a practical paper if he/she scores minimum 50 percentage point. A Compensatory practical class for a student who misses an experiment only on medical ground can be arranged within two weeks of his/her missing a practical class, subject to the approval of competent authority. However, there is no compensatory class test for theory subjects.

 

End term Examination
 

The University (BPUT) will conduct End Semester Examination of 70 percentage point as per the academic calendar for eligible candidates.

 

Supplementary Examination
  There will be a supplementary examination once in a year during the month of June, to be conducted by the University. The students having grade F in theory paper of previous examination are eligible to appear subject to due registration. There will be no supplementary examination for practical / sessional / Project / Comprehensive Viva voce subjects.
Registration
All students should register for the courses in the beginning of each Semester through the concerned Departments. They will be allowed to appear the examination for those registered courses only. They should consult their HODs before registration for proper guidance.
